I try to go to lifedrawing sessions around Charlotte at least once a week. Sessions usually have poses of 3, 5, 10, and 20 minutes, and these are taken from some of each.
I usually don’t focus on the finished product, per se– more so on the process, with an emphasis on gesture and evaluations. Anyone who practices this way will tell you, it’s one of the more engaging means of study. Life drawing flushes the preconceptions out of the brain.
All works are charcoal, chalk, and (sometimes) red conté on paper.
